I love running
I love all kinds of exercise, especially aerobics and other fitness classes, but running really is my all time fave. It is a great form of cardio exercise and can also give you a great feeling of mental well-being and a real sense of some quality time and head-space to yourself (very good for mums!)
I love running for pleasure, but races are also great and I get a real sense of achievement by taking part. I have done Race for Life a few times, the Great South run and half marathons but my biggest running challenge was my first marathon when my daughter was just eight months old. I have now got the bug and plan to enter more in the future. See below for a few pics…

Very happy to have knocked 36 minutes off PB but gutted not to get under 4 hours! Next time!

Definitely 10 mile PB!!
Nice day, really pushed it, chuffed with PB, looked at the wrong clock half way round!

Gorgeous day, trained hard so felt comfortable, even managed a sprint finish!

Really nice route along the seafront and felt like I worked hard all the way round. Great buzz!
Barnes Green half Marathon: October 2011

Much hillier than I expected, but fun! Legs ached for 3 days afterwards – more hill training next time!

Very hot day and got awful cramp at 21 miles – got to the end though!
